Breathtaking Panoramic View
The Terrace House in Japan needed a renovation. Even though the residence is placed on a hill with a panoramic view of the ocean, the budget for the project was limited. So how do you construct a deluxe house on a restricted budget? Kidosaki Architects made it their duty to place their focus on what already existed and was already breathtaking – the charm of the panoramic view of the Ocean.
When you open all the windows of the living room: the terrace and the living room become unified and create a spacious space that looks over the ocean. The horizontal view is emphasized by the eaves and the terrace.
“When looking onto the ocean from the terrace, it feels like I’m in another place” - Hirotaka Kidosaki.
