Environmental Approach to a College Extension
Apprentice Formation Centre in Saint Maur des Fossés, France, by AIR Architects. The project is an economical extension of the college, with an environmental approach. The extension of the CFA is a compact and economical building that just completed all of the Chamber of Trades. It has a clear identity defined by its facade of tinted yellow concrete, which turns on the ground to establish a liaison, a generous space between 2 buildings.
PROGRAM:
- Creation of a new building on 3 levels: a multi-purpose hall, plumbers workshop, meetingrooms, classrooms, and all benefiting from well oriented natural light.
- Rehabilitation of existing: creation of a cafeteria, upgrading of local administrative and classroom.
