Find out The Chou Char Cuisine’s Design Principles

Chou Char-grilled Cuisine by Office of Kenji Tagashira. The design of the cuisine is mainly constructed with the resource of rough wood found in a warehouse. To make certain that their customers feel safe when eating at their cuisine, the black designed restaurant, in Nakatsu, Osaka City, has put its major focus on fresh ingredients and seasoning.

The architects stumbled across and were immediately captivated to the stained natural Japanese Ash wood that had been stocked in a warehouse for a number of years and decided to use this wood as the basic material for almost everything.

“We deliberately used the wood whose surface was tatty and rough as it was for the floors and walls, etc. and aimed for beauty with the contrast of materials and colors such as the glass panes and Baccarat chandelier parts hung from the jet black ceiling, etc.”
