Construction has recently been completed. The inspiration for this project was to create memorable lifestyles and holidays that have an inextricable relationship with their climate and environment, especially the natural light and cool breezes.

Each house-sized apartment creates a private 'oasis' and feeling of calm where boundaries between internal and external spaces are carefully ambiguous. Oriented to the north, both apartments are arranged to maximize Pacific Ocean views to the south. Private courtyards, swimming pools and generously-proportioned screened outdoor rooms celebrate outdoor living, while spaces for cooking, eating, living, lounging, sleeping and bathing all exude a contemporary coastal feel for luxury living in the subtropics.

Both houses have different spatial characteristics but share the feeling of a luxury retreat, whilst the architectural language exudes a contemporary clean lined coastal Queensland feel.

The palette is made up of a subtle mix of natural white on white material and textures with detailed dark timber tones. Tall stacking sliding and bi fold doors provide a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. The galley kitchen opens out to a sun drenched northern deck, whilst the main bedroom suite opens to a spacious private deck. The installation of sliding plantation shutters provides privacy and climate control. High level natural light and ventilation is achieved through louvered clerestories.
