The Mingle, by alvinT is a furniture made to socialize on. Its appearance has an Indonesian identity to it while it also approaches the modern look. The aim of this project was to manifest what is a modern contemporary Indonesian design and then put it on the world map.

Indonesia is being bombarded with international brands and is beginning to lose its true identity. Indonesia has been serving as a tailor to big international brands, which shows that Indonesia has the capability to produce high quality products. On the other hand the lower end of the market is bogged down with ethnic tradition based handy crafts products. With its resources, Indonesia has the potential to compete against other countries.

alvinT is a brand that's dedicated to the Indonesian design industry and communicate Indonesia’s distinctive design character and high quality materials and craftsmanship, both locally and to the rest of the world. With Indonesia enriched with a unique culture in history and art, alvinT is inspired by the traditional techniques and how inimitable innovation can be formed in a modern approach.
