Nook: The Start of a New Company
The NOOK, by South Korean designer Patrick Frey is VIAL's first item of furniture, this has lead to a great start into the innovative market for the new family-running company. Just a few weeks ago, the stool was rewarded the iF product design award 2010.
The NOOK is a stool made from a single piece of material called VarioLine (a waterproof plastic), which is the brainchild of designer Patrick Frey.
About Patrick Frey
Patrick Frey was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1973. In recent years Patrick Frey has made a name for himself as an innovative product designer. What makes his ideas and products so persuasive is the clear and unmistakable approach they bring to material, form and function. His studio, Patrick Frey Industrial Design, opened in 2007 and works for successful companies such as Nils Holger Moormann, Bree, Authentics and Elmar Flötotto – and now also for VIAL.
