Providing Your Client With Different Levels of Experience
The purpose with this architecture (Seaside Residence in Japan) was to give the client two different experiences when constructed. The first floor would give him the opportunity to be close to the tranquil garden, while the second floor would provide him a clear view of the sea.
The site in which the house is created faces the sea and inclines toward it by a vertical distance. TAKAO SHIOTSUKA ATELIER arranged the residence to be in the center of the site. They constructed the house in a plane shape so that all it’s focus is towards the sea.

The Planning of the First Floor
The first floor is planned to be a place where you can enjoy the garden. The part of the house that is facing the garden has instead of walls glass windows. The exterior ground is covered with the white gravel. This similarity in interior and exterior was made to give an uncut sense to the inside and outside of the house. Making you feel as if your living in nature.
The Planning of the Second Floor
The Second floor's walls are also mainly covered with big windows. So no matter where the individual stands inside the house, he can see the sea.
