SUN Clock: Feeling Time

The SUN clock by designer HironaoTsuboi

“SUN” can feel time. It’s a simple clock which follows the SUN with its 24 hours (starting with sunrise and ending with sundown). The SUN changes its color depending on the time of the day, that is if it’s AM or PM. It can be used as “World Clocks” if more than two clocks are placed on a wall.

Creative, Efficient and Flexible Use of Space.

As usual, the Adams Mohler Ghillino Architects takes the site into a lot of consideration, here they have built a residence that has a livability on a tight urban lot. This is enhanced through creative, efficient and flexible use of space. The shed-roofed upper floor of the main house rests above an open ground floor living space while a detached accessory structure serves as garage, office, playspace or guest quarters.

How You Get the Perfect Focal Point

Concentrating on one specific subject when taking a photograph is to have a focal point. Focal points are great to have because they make a photo less confusing and more focused. They give the eyes a base to focus on and when the fuss around it becomes confusing, you can always get back to safe land: the focal point.

When taking a photo, ask yourself "What do I want to highlight?"

Create Your Creative Room Part I

Part I - Color

Color and light have the power to change our mood very directly. The more natural light you’ve access to, the better. Color and light in Small spaces

All white rooms are good when wanting to enhance rooms’ appearances and make them seem more spacious, but there are plenty of other hues that can be taken advantage of.

One accent wall with a bold color in a room gives the impression of a more space, as it gives a strong statement to the room and makes the other walls, ceiling and floor appear bigger if they have paler colors. Having the same color on the wall and ceiling will also enhance the illusion of a greater room. There are some rules though when it comes to painting the home. Read More...

New Ipod with Video Camera

A new Ipod was dropped this week. Apple have added a video camera, FM radio, microphone and a speaker. It has a 2.2-inch color display(240-by-376-pixel resolution), it can keep track of your steps taken and calories burned, it provides up to 24 hours of music playback, and it is very very small(Height: 3.6 inches, Width:1.5 inches). Besides that it has a very enticing design and I really appreciate the choice of colors.

“iPod nano is the world’s most popular music player with over 100 million sold,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “And now we’ve added a video camera to its incredibly thin design, without any additional cost to the user.”
