Tianjing Bridge Culture Museum by Beijing Sunlay Architectural Design Office.
The Bridge Culture Museum is located at the centre of the QiaoYuan Park in Tianjin. Because of it special location, on the central axis facing to the main entrance, (and it is supposed to be the landmark of the Bridge Park), this area is designed as a leisure and exhibition space in order to meet people’s needs of an "enjoyable show space".
Opposed to the previous project “WITH”, this house is located on an urban area in Kanagawa, Japan. When constructed there were already 3 houses built in the North, East, and West, less than 1 meter away from a property line.
Knut Hamsun, Norway’s most inventive twentieth-century writer, fabricated new forms of expression in his first novel Hunger. He went on to found a truly modern school of fiction with his works Pan, Mysteries, and Growth of Hamarøy near the farm where writer grew up. The 1500 sf center includes exhibition areas, a library and reading room, a café, and an auditorium equipped with the latest film projection equipment. Hamsun’s writings have been particularly inspiring to filmmakers, which is evident in the more than 17 films based on his work.
The purpose with this architecture (Seaside Residence in Japan) was to give the client two different experiences when constructed. The first floor would give him the opportunity to be close to the tranquil garden, while the second floor would provide him a clear view of the sea.
