Unique Apartment Concept in Korea

Korea
Architectural Design for an Apartment House Unit for the Dual Income Single Child Family.
This project had been thought up in order to participate at the competition that took place in Korea, where the realization of a housing typology that could be suitable for a family consisting of two parents and a child was requested.
"Apart from the results and the aesthetic choices, our ideas about how to carry on the project were basically consistent of two concepts. The first one was setting free the house from its eternal link (still its indissoluble graft with the ground), a symbol of stability.
On the other hand the second choice consisted of extending the passageways among the rooms into streets being authentic urban connections."
"Each room is entirely independent and is parted some meters from the other rooms. This choice, that means to us a metaphor of the present society, consents us to consider each single room as a distinct part that can be modified in accordance with one's own needs apart from the others, therefore not conditioning them directly. However a room keeps being tied and similar to the setting, showing its own aesthetic or most visible features."
